On 29th July 2017, after 26 years together, Kerrie and Sean finally tied the knot at Warwick Castle.
The Love Story
A true university love story – the couple’s eyes met across a crowded room (ahem .. bar ..) and it was love at first sight.
Sean popped the question under a glorious display of the Northern Lights in Lapland one Christmas, and just 7 months later they were married.
The Wedding Planning
The couple planned their wedding over lots of wine, using spreadsheets and the internet to help. They planned their own flowers from Sarah Horne, outfits from Phase Eight and Moss Bros, Love Heart favours from Swizzles, and cake from Fiona Cairns at Waitrose, whilst the castle took care of the rest.
Family members helped coordinate various elements of the big day, including a flag to fly from Guy’s Tower, and a surprise flash mob dance!
The Big Day
Photographed by Andy Britton, the couple had a magical day. Kerrie and Sean didn’t plan for the ceremony much, which resulted a a beautiful relaxed – and funny – event. It took place in the State Dining Room, a stunning room many royalty have dined in.
With the weather not on their side, the drinks reception were held inside, in the beautiful State Rooms.
The guests then headed into the Great Hall, complete with breathtaking decor, for the wedding breakfast and disco, plus a very special musical speech!
Wear comfortable shoes!! And make sure you relax and enjoy the wedding planning just as much as you enjoy the day itself.
